Serving as a Spark Administrative Intern has been more than an internship for me. It has been an opportunity to grow personally and professionally while being part of something that is making a real difference in the lives of young people.
One of the most rewarding parts of my experience is seeing the impact Spark has on the students we serve. Every child comes to us with different dreams, talents, challenges, and goals. Through STEM education, tutoring, mentoring, leadership development, career exposure, and academic support, we have the opportunity to help students recognize their potential and discover what is possible for their future.
Sometimes making an impact begins with something simple—helping a student understand an assignment, encouraging them not to give up, introducing them to a career they never knew existed, or providing a mentor who reminds them that someone believes in their future. Those moments matter, and they are at the heart of what we do.
As an Administrative Intern, Spark has also given me opportunities to strengthen my leadership, communication, organization, and professional skills while working alongside other collegiate leaders, staff, volunteers, and community partners who share a commitment to putting students first.
Spark has taught me that leadership is not just about the position you hold. Leadership is about the people you serve, the lives you impact, and what you leave behind for others.
As you explore our website, I hope you see more than programs, pictures, and events. I hope you see possibility, opportunity, service, and impact. I hope you see young people discovering their gifts, college students developing into leaders, families receiving support, and communities coming together to invest in the next generation.
