WHERE INNOVATION INSPIRES.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPS.

FUTURES BEGIN.

Division of Schools & Student Success

Column
The Division of Schools & Student Success serves as the operational hub for all educational programs, student engagement initiatives, and school partnerships within the SPARK Academy of STEM, Innovation & Career Readiness (The STEM Hub). Led by the Chief Programs & Administration Officer, the division is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that prepare students for academic achievement, career success, leadership, and lifelong learning.

The Program Director oversees academic initiatives, including after-school and in-school tutoring, STEM education, curriculum support, summer enrichment, volunteer tutor development, and partnerships with schools, educators, universities, and community organizations. This office ensures that every educational program aligns with SPARK's mission of improving student outcomes while preparing young people for college and future careers.

Complementing this work, the Program Coordinator leads student development initiatives that extend beyond the classroom. Areas of responsibility include leadership development, career readiness, workforce preparation, collegiate engagement, mentoring, scholarships, family engagement, health and wellness education, community service, and student success coaching. Together, these offices provide a comprehensive support system that addresses both the academic and personal growth of every participant.

The division operates through a shared governance model, combining the expertise of professional staff with the leadership and innovation of college students. Through SPARK's Collegiate Leadership Model, undergraduate and graduate students serve alongside professional leaders in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs while receiving mentorship and practical leadership experience. Collegiate leaders assist with tutoring, mentoring, STEM activities, community outreach, volunteer coordination, family engagement, event planning, scholarship initiatives, and student leadership development under the supervision of professional staff.

This collaborative approach strengthens partnerships with colleges and universities, expands the Academy's capacity to serve students and families, and develops the next generation of nonprofit, education, and community leaders. By empowering collegiate leaders to serve as mentors and role models, the division creates a sustainable leadership pipeline while fostering innovation, civic engagement, and servant leadership.

The Division of Schools & Student Success is committed to ensuring that every student has access to high-quality educational opportunities, meaningful leadership experiences, caring mentors, and the resources necessary to succeed academically, professionally, and personally. Through strong school partnerships, innovative programming, and a collaborative leadership structure, the division works to strengthen schools, empower students, support families, and build stronger communities through education, leadership, and service.

General Body Leadership & Cabinet

Column

The General Body Leadership and Cabinet are an essential part of Spark STEM’s shared governance model, ensuring that students have a meaningful voice in the organization’s programs, activities, and decisions.

Student leaders are empowered to plan, recommend, and coordinate educational, social, leadership, and service activities for our K–12 students. These efforts are carried out in collaboration with—and under the direction of—the Chief Administration & Programs Officer and Program Director to ensure that every initiative supports the mission, values, and goals of Spark STEM.

Column

The General Body Leadership and Cabinet also serve as advocates for students throughout the organization. They communicate student needs and concerns, recommend new opportunities, promote academic success and student engagement, and help strengthen the connection between students, collegiate leaders, professional staff, and the communities we serve.

Through this shared governance model, students gain valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, program planning, and community service while helping shape a positive and supportive environment for the next generation.
